If you’re a city administrator, you know that stormwater runoff is one of the biggest threats to your district’s water safety. A huge part of this dilemma is the fact that residents don’t always know they’re contributing to the problem. For them, washing a car or watering a lawn is just another weekend task, unaware that the runoff water may contain harmful chemicals that can pollute nearby water bodies.
