A Vactor Truck Rental or Purchase Could Save the Day

Back in June of 2012, The Epoch Times staff Zachary Stieber filed a report about a citywide sewer cleanup that took place with Vactor truck rental units in New York. Debris collected for the project was enough to fill up three Olympic-sized swimming pools. This served as a wake-up call for New Yorkers to be cautious about what they throw down the drain. Flood-free project The sewer cleanup will continue over several years, along with other cleanup efforts as part of an overall green infrastructure upgrade representing $5 billion in public and private investment. The plan was initiated because the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) surveyed 136 miles of large interceptor sewers using a floating sonar device and discovered that around one-fifth of the sewers needed extensive cleaning.
